Train Like a Dog to Look Like a God – the dyslexic trainers manual to add lean tissue and reduce body fat!

This Train Like a Dog to Look Like a God Blog is focusing on a compound exercise called the Military Press and is named Atlas.


In Greek Mythology Atlas was given the task of holding the heavens on his shoulders as punishment from Zeus for leading the Titans in their battle with the Olympian Gods for control of the heavens.

Military Press

The Military Press is another compound exercise that should be in your programming. The Military press hit a number of muscles when being performed but also has other great benefits such as safeguarding your shoulders, helping you increase you bench press and building great upper body strength to name a few.


How to preform the Military Press:

Start by racking a barbell that is about chest high on a squat rack.

Once you have selected the weights, grip the bar about shoulder width apart.

Take a step back and stand with your feet about shoulder width apart.

Lift the bar up over your head by locking your arms.

Lower the bar down to the collarbone slowly as you inhale.

Lift the bar back up to the starting position as you exhale.
